Hi, Iā€™m Amy!

My name is Amy Perry! I'm a mom of two awesome kids, Logan and Savannah. I like to go out to restaurants and do some leisurely hiking. I love a good documentary and keep a small jungle of houseplants.

As an individual with chronic illness (Crohn's Disease amongst them) I advocate closely for and with folks with disabilities and neurodivergent thinkers. I grew to see the value in doulas after having a pretty rough first birth and postpartum experience without a doula, and a gentle, supported and empowered second birth and easier postpartum with a doula.

On a professional level, I'm a full spectrum doula, practicing in and around Waterloo Region since 2016. My "full spectrum" training gives me the ability to assist a wide range of support needs from struggles with conception and very early pregnancy, all the way to helping you get your baby onto solid foods. With a special focus in trauma informed care, I'm also equipped to support individuals and families through abortions, miscarriages, stillbirths and grieving of infant loss.

I began my training in 2016 with a local doula training organization and continued my skills learning through practices like mentoring under experienced doulas and participating in training courses offered by local practitioners. I'm an avid learner, always listening to podcasts with updated science and reading results of new research to be able to provide the best evidence based care possible.

I've had the absolute pleasure in supporting over 50 families locally, and abroad. I have really found my passion in perinatal support work!
